Customer notice: These Terms are intended to be legally robust but customer-friendly. They should be read alongside the pricing shown on this website and any job-specific quotation. They do not affect a customer's statutory rights.

1. About these Terms and who the customer contracts with

These Terms and Conditions apply to all work, inspections, diagnostics, advice, repairs, servicing, call-outs, fleet checks and related services provided by Thomas Lee trading as GoGoGarage, a sole trader.

In these Terms, "GoGoGarage", "we", "us" and "our" means Thomas Lee trading as GoGoGarage. "Customer", "you" and "your" means the person, business or organisation booking or receiving the service.

By booking a service, accepting a quotation, approving work, allowing work to begin, signing a work authorisation, or making payment, the customer agrees to these Terms. These Terms apply alongside any quotation, invoice, booking confirmation, pricing addendum, waiver or written instruction agreed with the customer.

These Terms do not affect statutory rights. For consumer customers, services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill.

2. Services GoGoGarage may provide

GoGoGarage provides mobile mechanic, diagnostic, maintenance, inspection and repair services. Services may include, subject to availability, safety, equipment, parts and suitability of the location:

GoGoGarage may refuse or stop work where, in our professional opinion, the work cannot be carried out safely, legally, properly, within mobile capability, or without unacceptable risk of damage, injury or further loss.

3. Services not normally provided or subject to special confirmation

The following services are not normally provided as mobile roadside work and will only be carried out where GoGoGarage has expressly confirmed capability, equipment, location suitability, insurance suitability and any required certification:

This list is not exhaustive. GoGoGarage may decline any job where the mobile environment, vehicle condition, weather, safety risk, equipment requirement, certification requirement, or nature of the repair makes the work unsuitable.

4. Quotes, estimates, diagnostics and pricing

Prices are listed separately and may be provided through the website, a pricing addendum, quotation, invoice, booking confirmation, email, WhatsApp, text message, phone call or other written or verbal communication.

A price given before inspection is an estimate unless clearly stated to be a fixed quotation. A quotation applies only to the work expressly described. Additional faults, hidden defects, seized components, corrosion, missing parts, incorrect information or extra work may require a revised quotation.

Where a customer accepts a verbal quotation and instructs GoGoGarage to proceed, that verbal quotation may form the agreed basis of the booking, including cancellation charges, unless replaced by a later written quotation.

Diagnostic services are charged for attendance, time, skill and assessment. A diagnostic appointment does not guarantee that the precise fault will be identified within a fixed time or repaired on the same day, particularly where the fault is intermittent, hidden, electrical, software-related, historic, linked to previous work, or requires specialist equipment.

If a price has not been agreed for additional work, GoGoGarage will seek approval before carrying out further chargeable work where reasonably possible. If urgent safety-related steps are needed, GoGoGarage may take reasonable steps to prevent damage or danger and will notify the customer as soon as practicable.

5. Bookings, appointments and customer instructions

Bookings may be made by phone, email, website, social media, WhatsApp, text message or another agreed method. A booking is confirmed when GoGoGarage accepts the booking and, where required, receives any deposit, parts payment, signed waiver or customer approval.

Appointment times are given in good faith. As a mobile business, attendance may be affected by traffic, weather, previous jobs, parts availability, emergency work, access issues or circumstances outside GoGoGarage's reasonable control.

The customer must provide accurate vehicle details, fault descriptions, location information, access arrangements, parking details, contact details and any relevant history, including previous repairs, warning lights, modifications, accident damage, immobiliser issues, non-standard parts or intermittent faults.

6. Cooling-off rights and early-start consent

Where a consumer books by phone, online, email, message, social media, or away from GoGoGarage's premises, the customer may have a 14-day cooling-off period under consumer contract rules.

If the customer books a service to take place within 14 days, the customer expressly requests GoGoGarage to begin the service during the cooling-off period. If the customer cancels after work has started, the customer agrees to pay for work already carried out and reasonable costs incurred up to the point of cancellation, including diagnostics, attendance, administration, parts ordered and travel where applicable.

Where the service has been fully completed at the customer's express request during the 14-day period, the customer may lose the right to cancel that completed service. This does not affect statutory rights where work has not been carried out with reasonable care and skill.

7. Cancellation, rescheduling and two-strike policy

Customers should give as much notice as possible if they need to cancel or rearrange a booking.

Cancellation charges are intended to reflect time reserved, loss of opportunity, travel, administration, scheduling impact, parts ordered and other genuine business costs. They are not intended as a penalty.

Two-strike policy: where a customer cancels, rearranges at short notice, fails to attend, or fails to provide access on two occasions, GoGoGarage may refuse future bookings, require full payment in advance, require a deposit, or apply stricter booking conditions.

GoGoGarage may cancel or rearrange a booking due to unsafe working conditions, severe weather, traffic, illness, parts delay, vehicle condition, emergency work, incorrect booking information or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

8. Customer responsibilities, access and site suitability

The customer must ensure that:

If GoGoGarage attends and the work cannot proceed because the customer has failed to meet these responsibilities, charges may apply under the cancellation and payment provisions.

9. Roadside safety, weather, parking and permissions

GoGoGarage will not carry out work where, in our judgment, it is unsafe, unlawful or unsuitable. This includes live carriageways, unsafe roadsides, unstable ground, steep slopes, poor lighting, severe weather, inadequate space, traffic risk, unsafe jacking conditions, fuel leaks, fire risk, electrical hazard or aggressive behaviour.

GoGoGarage may require the vehicle to be moved, recovered, relocated to a garage, or placed in a safer position before work begins or continues.

The customer is responsible for arranging lawful parking, visitor permits, private land permission, workplace permission and any site access needed for the mechanic to attend and work safely.

The customer is responsible for parking charges, permits, congestion/ULEZ-type charges where specifically caused by the customer's chosen location, and fines or penalties arising from the customer's failure to provide lawful parking or permission, unless caused by GoGoGarage's own fault.

10. Diagnostics, fault-finding and repair limitations

Modern vehicles can have complex mechanical, electrical, electronic and software-related faults. Fault codes do not always identify the failed component. A diagnostic scan may identify symptoms or stored codes, but further staged testing may be required.

Some repairs are necessarily diagnostic in nature. Replacing one component may reveal another fault. GoGoGarage is not responsible for unrelated, hidden, intermittent or pre-existing faults unless caused by GoGoGarage's failure to use reasonable care and skill.

Where GoGoGarage recommends further work, recovery, specialist investigation, dealer-level equipment or garage-based repair, the customer is responsible for deciding whether to follow that advice.

11. MOT, pre-MOT and roadworthiness

GoGoGarage may provide pre-MOT checks and roadworthiness observations. A pre-MOT check is advisory only and is not an MOT test.

GoGoGarage does not carry out MOT tests unless arranged through an authorised MOT testing station. An MOT pass or fail decision can only be made by an authorised MOT tester at an authorised MOT testing station.

A pre-MOT check does not guarantee that the vehicle will pass an MOT. A service, repair, diagnostic check, pre-MOT check or inspection does not mean the entire vehicle has been declared roadworthy unless expressly stated in writing.

The customer remains responsible for ensuring the vehicle is taxed, insured, MOT compliant and roadworthy where legally required.

12. Parts supplied by GoGoGarage

Where GoGoGarage supplies parts, we will make reasonable efforts to source suitable parts based on the vehicle information provided. Parts may be original equipment, aftermarket, pattern, reconditioned or refurbished depending on availability, price and customer approval.

Parts remain the property of GoGoGarage until paid for in full. Any parts order with a value over £500 must be paid in full before the part is ordered, unless GoGoGarage agrees otherwise in writing.

Special-order, coded, programmed, electrical, customer-specific or non-returnable parts may not be refundable once ordered unless faulty or unless the law requires otherwise. If a supplier price changes, a part becomes unavailable, or delivery is delayed, GoGoGarage will notify the customer and agree next steps where possible.

Where GoGoGarage supplies and fits parts, the customer's contract is with GoGoGarage for that supply and fitting, subject to these Terms and statutory rights. Manufacturer or supplier warranty terms may also apply.

13. Customer-supplied parts and waiver requirement

GoGoGarage may fit customer-supplied parts only at GoGoGarage's discretion and only where the customer signs or digitally accepts the Customer-Supplied Parts Waiver before work begins.

GoGoGarage may refuse to fit customer-supplied parts where they appear unsuitable, incorrect, unsafe, poor quality, counterfeit, incomplete, damaged, used, incompatible, missing fittings, or inappropriate for the vehicle.

Where GoGoGarage agrees to fit customer-supplied parts, GoGoGarage is responsible only for carrying out the fitting work with reasonable care and skill. GoGoGarage gives no warranty for the part itself and is not responsible for the part's quality, compatibility, safety, durability or performance.

If the customer-supplied part fails, causes damage, is incorrect, or requires removal/replacement, additional labour, diagnostic, recovery, parts and attendance charges may apply.

14. Classic, older, modified and non-standard vehicles

Classic vehicles, older vehicles, imported vehicles, modified vehicles, kit cars, remapped vehicles, vehicles with aftermarket alarms/immobilisers, vehicles with non-standard wiring, vehicles previously written off, and vehicles with emissions or safety modifications may require additional time and care.

Classic vehicles and non-standard vehicles may be charged on an hourly-rate basis only. Any time estimate for this type of vehicle is indicative and not fixed unless expressly agreed in writing.

GoGoGarage is not responsible for problems caused by corrosion, brittle components, seized bolts, unavailable parts, poor previous repairs, non-standard modifications, hidden damage or undocumented changes, provided GoGoGarage has used reasonable care and skill.

15. Test drives and movement of vehicles

The customer authorises GoGoGarage to start, move, road test or otherwise operate the vehicle where reasonably necessary for diagnosis, repair, testing, safety, inspection or completion of the agreed work.

The customer must ensure that the vehicle is insured, taxed, MOT compliant and roadworthy where legally required, unless the work directly relates to those issues. GoGoGarage will take reasonable care when moving or testing the vehicle.

16. Workmanship and parts warranty

GoGoGarage provides a 12-month workmanship warranty on labour carried out by GoGoGarage. This covers faults caused by GoGoGarage's failure to carry out the agreed work with reasonable care and skill.

Where GoGoGarage supplies parts, those parts are covered for 12 months from the date of fitting unless the manufacturer or supplier provides a longer warranty. Parts warranty is subject to supplier/manufacturer conditions and statutory rights.

The warranty does not cover:

17. Warranty claim process

The customer must notify GoGoGarage within 14 days of noticing any issue they believe may relate to GoGoGarage's work or a part supplied by GoGoGarage.

The customer must stop using the vehicle if continued use may cause damage, danger or worsening of the fault. The customer must give GoGoGarage a reasonable opportunity to inspect the vehicle before any third party removes, repairs, alters or interferes with the relevant work, unless there is an urgent safety reason.

If another garage, mechanic or third party interferes with the relevant work before GoGoGarage has had a fair opportunity to inspect it, the warranty may be invalidated to the extent that the interference prevents proper assessment.

A diagnostic or inspection charge may apply if the reported issue is not related to GoGoGarage's workmanship or a part supplied by GoGoGarage. Remedial work does not restart the original warranty period unless GoGoGarage agrees otherwise in writing.

This warranty is in addition to statutory rights and does not remove or reduce those rights.

18. Complaints and dispute resolution

If a customer is unhappy with any service, they must contact GoGoGarage by email in the first instance at: info@gogogarage.co.uk.

The complaint should include the customer name, vehicle registration, date of work, description of the issue, photographs or videos where relevant, and copies of related invoices, messages or documents.

GoGoGarage will aim to acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and provide a substantive response within 14 days, depending on complexity, availability of evidence and whether inspection is needed.

The customer must give GoGoGarage a reasonable opportunity to inspect the vehicle and put matters right before arranging third-party repairs, unless there is an emergency or safety reason why this is not possible.

Where a complaint is valid, GoGoGarage may offer inspection, repeat performance, repair, replacement, partial refund, price reduction or another reasonable remedy. If a complaint cannot be resolved internally, the parties may consider mediation or an appropriate alternative dispute resolution route.

19. Payment, non-payment and debt recovery

Payment is due immediately on completion of the agreed work unless GoGoGarage agrees otherwise in writing. This applies to consumers, business customers and fleet customers unless a separate written account agreement is in place.

Payment may be made by cash, card payment or bank transfer. Where payment is by bank transfer, cleared payment must be received before the mechanic leaves the site unless otherwise agreed.

GoGoGarage is not currently VAT registered. VAT will not be charged unless the business becomes VAT registered in the future. If VAT registration becomes applicable, prices and invoices may be updated accordingly.

If payment is not made when due, GoGoGarage may, where lawful and proportionate:

GoGoGarage will not unlawfully retain a vehicle. Where a vehicle is in the customer's possession or at the customer's location, the customer remains responsible for its security, insurance and condition.

20. Business, fleet and trade customers

Business, fleet and trade customers are treated as business customers unless GoGoGarage agrees otherwise in writing. Consumer cooling-off rights do not apply to business customers.

Payment for fleet and business work is due on completion unless a separate written account facility has been agreed.

The person instructing GoGoGarage on behalf of a business, fleet operator or trade customer confirms that they have authority to approve the work and bind that business to payment.

For business customers, GoGoGarage's total liability for any claim arising from a specific service shall not exceed the amount paid or payable for that specific service, except for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

GoGoGarage is not liable to business customers for loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of contract, loss of business opportunity, loss of goodwill, loss of use, vehicle downtime, replacement vehicle costs, business interruption, or indirect or consequential loss, except where the law does not permit such exclusion.

21. Liability and exclusions

GoGoGarage will be responsible for losses caused by negligence, breach of contract, or failure to carry out services with reasonable care and skill.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Subject to the above, GoGoGarage is not responsible for:

22. Removed parts, waste, hazardous materials and environmental responsibilities

Removed parts will be disposed of responsibly unless the customer asks to keep them before work starts. Hazardous, contaminated or safety-critical waste may not be returned and may be disposed of safely.

GoGoGarage may handle oil, filters, batteries, fluids, contaminated parts and other waste in line with responsible practice. The customer must not ask GoGoGarage to dispose of waste unlawfully or leave hazardous materials in an unsafe condition.

Where the customer supplies their own parts, fluids or materials, the customer remains responsible for any unused items unless GoGoGarage agrees to dispose of them.

23. Illegal, unsafe or improper requests

GoGoGarage will not carry out work that is unlawful, unsafe, dishonest, intended to mislead, or likely to make a vehicle unroadworthy.

This includes, without limitation, disabling emissions systems, bypassing safety features, removing warning systems, creating unsafe temporary repairs, knowingly helping a customer drive an unsafe vehicle, concealing defects, falsifying documents, or assisting with improper MOT, insurance or roadworthiness representations.

24. Photographs, records, privacy and data protection

GoGoGarage may take photographs or videos of the vehicle, mileage, warning lights, parts, defects, damage, completed work, access issues or working conditions for record-keeping, evidence, warranty, quality, training and complaint-handling purposes.

GoGoGarage will not publish identifiable customer details, personal addresses or full vehicle registration information for marketing without consent.

GoGoGarage may collect and use personal data such as customer name, contact details, address, vehicle details, booking history, payment information and service records for the purpose of providing services, managing bookings, issuing invoices, handling complaints and maintaining records.

Our Privacy Notice explains in full how personal data is collected, used and protected.

25. Third-party suppliers, recovery providers and partner garages

GoGoGarage may recommend, introduce, arrange or work alongside third-party suppliers, recovery providers, MOT garages, tyre providers, air-conditioning specialists, dealerships or other mechanics.

Unless GoGoGarage expressly states that it is providing the third-party service itself, the third party may contract directly with the customer and may apply its own terms, prices and warranties. GoGoGarage is not responsible for third-party work unless GoGoGarage has expressly accepted responsibility in writing or the law provides otherwise.

26. Events outside GoGoGarage's control

GoGoGarage is not liable for delay or failure to perform where caused by events outside reasonable control, including severe weather, traffic, road closure, accident, illness, supplier delay, parts shortage, power failure, emergency incidents, unsafe location, customer non-attendance or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.

27. Changes, severability and governing law

GoGoGarage may update these Terms from time to time. The Terms in force at the time of booking will normally apply to that booking unless a change is required by law or agreed with the customer.

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales, unless consumer law provides otherwise.
